For the Single Leg Max Jumps, choose an object or spot that is at a height that can only be reached when jumping as high as possible on one leg. Once your height is selected, begin the exercise by balancing on one leg in a comfortable standing position. From there, pistol squat down to a 90 degree angle and explode up as high as you can. Upon returning to the ground, activate your leg muscles to land on the ground as smooth as possible. Repeat the motion several time until you can no longer reach the height you have chosen.
This exercise focuses on the explosive muscle fibers of am individual leg. Your hamstring and quad muscles are simultaneously working to straighten the leg and propel you upward. Finally, the calf muscles contract to provide an extra boost at the near end of the motion.
