For the Forward Sleigh Push, you must have a sleigh or some resistance platform that can be towed. Proper form involves maintaining a neutral spine. This is best done by starting with a forward lean and keeping your chest open. Once ready, push as hard as you can trying to maintain your forward momentum. The tow bar can either be placed at your hip, as shown in the picture, or held out in front of you for more difficulty. Push as hard as you can for the allotted distance then rest.
This exercise focuses on the explosive muscles of the butt, thigh, and legs. Glute and hamstring muscles of the butt and leg are used to extend each leg back with each step. Then, at the back of each step you use your calf to push off the ground and propel you forward.
