For the Band Assisted Push Up, you must first tie a body band over a bar that is about waist high. Once the band is in place, climb into it so that is strung right under your pectoral ridge. Position yourself in a push up position and begin the motion of lowering your body down, and then back up. The band should supply a force upward that should assist in the motion of a push up. Repeat the motion of a push up for the allotted amount of reps and then climb out of the bands safely.
This exercise focuses on the muscles in the chest and arms. Because of the planked position of a push up, it also requires good core strength throughout the motion.
